Crunchy cheese crackers

Little ones love cheesy crackers and I especially love making these in bulk. They store great and taste even better with hummus (link to healthy hummus recipe) served alongside.

Ingredients

Serves 8

  • 1 tablespoon water and 1 spoonful Bubs Australian Goat Milk Toddler Drink
  • 2 tablespoon water (extra)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon ground chia seeds
  • 1 cup flour (spelt is a great choice)
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Recipe

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 150°C. Make up the formula according to the instructions on the can and then stir in the extra water, olive oil and chia seeds.

Step 2

Add in the remaining ingredients, except the cheese and sesame seeds. Roll out the crackers between two sheets of baking paper. You want the dough really thin, ideally 3mm thick.

Step 3

Pull the top sheet off the crackers, slide it on to a cooking tray and top with cheese and sesame seeds. Pop them in the oven for 20-30 mins or until crisp. Break up by hand and serve them alongside with hummus (link to hummus recipe).
